Ben adored his two girls, Emily & Abbey. Any brief conversation with Ben would ultimately turn to the latest developments in each of their lives: How well they were doing in school, Emily's softball accomplishments, Abbey's cheering and gymnastic ability.
Emily was born in San Antonio, TX while Ben served in the Air Force as a firefighter at Randolph Air Force Base.
Emily turned 18 shortly after Ben's passing and is now planning on attending college in Fall 2015 and wants to study Forensics and Psychology.
Emily loves to play softball and her competitive spirit and skills are on display every time she takes the field. Ben and Ashley worked with Emily at a young age to develop that spirit and Emily plays softball year round for her High School and a competitive traveling team. It's her hope to be able to play softball for her college.
Ben's pride in Emily was easy to see and hear - Ben often shared how Emily's softball team was doing and Emily's personal development in the game.
Abbey was born in St Louis, MO while Ben was working at the 9-1-1 Dispatch and volunteering at the Lake St Louis Fire Department.
Abbey turns 13 in November 2014 and is a skilled cheerleader - doing flips and stunts that amaze.
Abbey brought so much joy into Ben's life - through her quick wit and kind heart. Ben and Abbey enjoyed spending time together in the outdoors. When Ben had a day off from work, he & Abbey would always find an adventure.
Abbey dearly loved her father and would brighten up whenever she saw him.
